  No one we talked to cabbies, hotel personnel, other guests had been to this restaurant; made us a bit nervous. One comment was “that’s Colombian, isn’t it?” Yes... read more indeed it IS Colombian and well worth a visit. Not visited by many “tourists” by the looks we got when we arrived. Or maybe it was because we were a pair of octogenarians! Anyway, the reception was great, the tables and chairs a bit hard, but the warmth of the server, the quality of the drinks and food made up for the lack of sophisticated environment. It was truly authentic. My seafood ceviche was lovely and the red snapper (head on) was fantastic. The margaritas to start were fresh, tart and strong. The wine was a Pinot Gris and it was crisp, flowery and cold.

No, it was not on the water. No, it did not exude a great deal of wealthy encountrements, but the food, drinks and staff were incredible good. A great find.

  We have been going to Don Jacintos for many years and have always enjoyed our meal. Last year the food was so so. We gave it another shot this year... read more and were very disapointed. My wife's steak was tough and my fish was just so so. Service isn't what it used to be. Oh well....
